Canada Revenue Agency announced that in an effort to standardize their ROE Web file version, they will be decommissioning some of the ROE formats and will no longer be accepted by CRA effective December 31st, 2015.
Discontinued ROE Formats
- 27 Week Flat file
- 53 Week Flat file
- 53 Week XML file version 1.0
- 27 Week Online Form (Supporting Validation for 27 week Payroll Extract)
This effects Dynamics GP Canadian Payroll Customers using one of the above listed formats. If you do not use one of the ROE Web formats listed above, you will not be impacted by these changes.
With this discontinuation, the following two formats will be accepted and supported in ROE Web:
- 53 Week XML Payroll Extract File XML version 2.0
- 53 Week Online Form

How this is being addressed in Dynamics GP
The discontinued ROE forms will be removed as part of your Dynamics GP Year-End Tax Update with the approved formats still available within Dynamics GP.
